Our Story
Founded with a deep passion for helping children and families, Rocky Mountain Art and Play Center for Emotional Support, brings together decades of experience in child psychology, play therapy, expressive arts therapy, and behavioral interventions.
What started as a vision to create a safe, nurturing space for children with ADHD, ODD, anxiety, and attachment-related challenges has grown into a trusted resource for parents seeking effective and lasting solutions.
At Rocky Mountain Behavioral Consultants, we believe that every child has the potential to thrive with the right support, guidance, and therapeutic approach.
Our mission is to empower families by providing expert, compassionate, and evidence-based therapy for children struggling with emotional and behavioral challenges.
Tired of seeing your child struggle with explosive anger and emotional outbursts?
It can be heartbreaking to watch them go through such turmoil, not knowing how to help.
Imagine a world where your child is able to regulate their emotions and express without the destructive behavior. Sound too good to be true? It's not, not with us!
Psychological expressive emotional support for kids and families at Rocky Mountain Art and Play Center® is specialized care for children and families with anger (among other emotions) and emotional dysregulation issues.
We teach you to teach your child how to instill long-lasting life long skills and strategies that will enhance your child's life in the long-term.
Not only that but with parent coaching, you will also learn how to support your child more effectively, creating a harmonious home environment and a safe and supportive school environment that reduces the guilt and shame currently present.
This is a life-long improvement and transformation that is abundantly worth investing in.
We, at Rocky Mountain Art and Play Center®, know that parenting a child with behavioral challenges can feel overwhelming, but you are not alone. Our mission is to equip parents with the tools, strategies, and confidence needed to create a calm, connected, and resilient family environment. Through personalized therapy sessions, parent coaching, and our online courses like "Big Feelings, Calm Tools" and "Parenting First: Regulate to Relate", we provide practical guidance that extends beyond the therapy room and into everyday life.
Why us?
With over 18 years of experience working with children who struggle with ADHD, ODD, attachment disorders, and emotional dysregulation, we offer specialized, evidence-based interventions that go beyond traditional behavioral therapy. Our unique approach integrates Psychodynamic Therapy, Play Therapy, Expressive Arts, and Montessori-based strategies to help children build emotional regulation skills that last a lifetime.
We recognize that no two children are the same. Instead of using a one-size-fits-all method, we tailor our strategies to fit each child’s needs, family dynamics, and developmental stage. Our approach focuses on identifying the root causes of behavior, teaching coping skills, and strengthening parent-child relationships, so families experience real, lasting transformation.
Helping children manage challenging behavior isn’t just about what happens in therapy—it’s about equipping parents with the right tools to reinforce positive behavior at home. We provide practical, easy-to-implement strategies that empower parents to guide their children through emotional ups and downs with confidence, creating a harmonious home environment where everyone thrives.
If your child struggles with defiance, emotional outbursts, impulsivity, or attention issues, you’ve probably felt overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of what to do next.
At Rocky Mountain for Art and Play Center®, we partner with parents like you to navigate even the most difficult behavioral and emotional challenges.
We specialize in supporting families of children with ADHD, ODD, attachment disorders, anxiety, and other complex behavioral needs—through a whole-child, relationship-based approach that actually works.
